Clinical Assessment
Evaluation of disease evolution, infections, symptoms and impact on quality of life.
Lymphedema Microsurgery
Treatment selection is based on the functional condition of the lymphatic system in each limb, integrating clinical evaluation and dedicated imaging.
01
Evaluation of disease evolution, infections, symptoms and impact on quality of life.
Functional assessment of lymphatic drainage and support for disease staging.
Superficial mapping of lymphatic patterns and identification of vessels for microsurgical planning.
Targeted study of lymphatic collectors and vascular structures useful for operative planning.
02
Not every lymphedema requires the same operation.
Lymphovenous anastomosis for selected patients with functioning lymphatic collectors.
Vascularized lymph node transfer for more advanced disease or when usable lymphatic collectors are absent or severely compromised.
An essential component of treatment, used alone or as part of a broader strategy in selected patients.
03
Bilateral lymphedema is not necessarily symmetric.
Each limb may show a different degree of lymphatic dysfunction and is therefore staged and treated independently according to functional imaging and disease severity.
04
For specialist lymphedema assessment.
